Spring Lake Park Lions Gives Back by Buying Achieve Clean for Homeless Programs
In this season of giving, the Spring Lake Park Lions Club are going above and beyond. They found a unique way to give to two organizations at once by supporting people with disabilities and local homeless populations with a laundry detergent donation.
They started by purchasing bottles of Achieve Clean Laundry Detergent – a business created by people with disabilities with 100% of profits going to support Achieve Services, Inc. and other programs to help people with disabilities find employment. The Lions donated the 100+ bottles that they purchased to three local homeless programs: Stepping Stone Emergency Housing, Hope 4 Youth, and Family Promise. These organizations host families and individuals who face homelessness and economic hardship and provide resources to help them achieve greater independence. Laundry is an inevitable part of independent living and this donation creates one less expense for these individuals and organizations.
The Spring Lake Park Lions Club is a community service organization that gives back to Spring Lake Park and surrounding cities through charitable gambling. Last year they gave over $155,000 in charitable donations to schools and non-profits. The four organizations that are supported by this gift are greatly appreciative of their generosity!
You too can give to two organizations at once by purchasing Achieve Clean Laundry Detergent for your favorite non-profit that does laundry – group homes, homeless shelters, and pet housing are just some examples. All donations to 501(c)3 organizations would be tax deductible!
